About the project

A Property and Casualty Insurance company approached Hitachi Solutions NA about creating a custom solution within the commercial insurance space. Off the shelf commercial insurance tools do not fit the clients unique operations model. As a result, the Hitachi team needed to work with business analysts and other stakeholders to re-envision the client’s approach to insurance through modernization and streamlined workflows.

Client: Property and Casualty Insurance Company

Role: Product Designer

Implementation Team: 20+ on the Hitachi Team (including one additional Product Designer) + Client

Timeframe: 8+ Months (ongoing)

Business Goals

  1. Create a custom solution that expands the clients product offerings to include commercial auto insurance

  2. Ensure brand consistency with the parent organization.

  3. Work with the end-user to reimagine workflows to help streamline operations.
